INFORMATION QUALITY IN DATA WAREHOUSING, CRM AND
THE INTERNET: Principles and Practices |
|
Why this Course? |
The success or failure of today’s information initiatives such as data warehousing, Customer Relationship Management, and the Internet lies ultimately in the quality of the data captured and maintained by the business processes and the quality of information presented to the knowledge workers. This seminar details the essential ingredients of an information quality environment for the survival and effectiveness of the organization. Mr. English describes how to assess and control information quality in the warehouse, customer databases, and at the data sources, both within the brick and mortar walls and through e-business. You learn how to conduct a data assessment. You learn management techniques for improving information quality and preventing defects. Mr. English defines a process for data reengineering and cleansing of data from source to data warehouses or customer databases. He also addresses how to analyze causes of non-quality data and how to improve the processes that cause the defects. You learn both the technical and management requirements for a continuous information quality environment for success. |
