Cheryl Carleton will present a "State of the Union" review of the Data Warehousing/Business Intelligence industry, based on information drawn from IDC's observations of market developments. Her presentation will include insights into the following trends:
Copies of the book "Harvesting Experience: Reaping the Benefits of Knowledge", by Jan Duffy, Group VP, Solutions Research, IDC, will be distributed to the first 30 participants in attendance.
Cheryl Carleton is a Research Analyst at IDC Canada. Cheryl developed and is responsible for managing IDC's Canadian Business Intelligence and Knowledge Management research program. This forward looking program specifically examines knowledge management as a driver of growth, innovation and profitability for the 21st century organization. As one of the world's leading market research organizations, IDC is a prime example of a knowledge-based enterprise. Cheryl's experience in both using and applying KM in her day to day activities provides a real world perspective on the topic.
Prior to joining IDC, Ms. Carleton worked for Bain & Company, a strategic management consulting firm. Cheryl holds a Master of Library and Information Science degree from the University of Western Ontario and an Honours Bachelor of Administrative and Policy Studies degree from Trent University.
