We are kicking off the new season of the BI/DW SIG with a new format! We will combine theory with practical lessons learned in each session!
The sessions will have either customer case studies, experience panels, and/or sample documents to help you APPLY what you've learned. We also have a team of volunteers who will help in researching our monthly topics and provide links to information on our web site.
As always the BI/DW SIG is a NO SALES ZONE! Vendors will share their unique knowledge and experience and not sales fluff.
We are always looking for new topics and volunteers to help present or do research. If you're interested, please contact one of the co-chairs at the bottom of this announcement.
Join us after work on Wednesday November 7th for a lively, informative, and practical session to talk about Strategy. The topic will be aimed at first time data warehouse/business intelligence, plus those who will justify the expenses for future building.
The session will cover the business drivers, opportunities, penetration, convergence, and challenges of building a practical Data Warehousing Business Intelligence environment. This includes tips on building a business case, justifying costs, for maximizing the business advantages of data warehousing.
