Coaching Assessment: An Interactive Seminar

Research demonstrates that coaching can be a highly effective approach for building the cohesion, motivation, and morale of your team. Coaching strategies can be used by both team leaders and individual team members to make any interpersonal relationship more effective and productive.

In this informal interactive discussion seminar, we will use participants' completed coaching skills self-assessment to explore a number of questions/issues related to this approach to team development:

Self-assessment results: Surprises? Learnings?
How does the coaching approach compare with other management approaches?
What are the four main types of coaching conversations?
What challenges or barriers might keep you from using the coaching approach with your team?
What personal developmental goals flow of this self-reflective activity for you?

Debra Bannister, MBA, PMP Cert.Ad.Ed. has over 20 years of experience developing, leading and coaching high performance individuals and teams within the Service, Software, Healthcare and Manufacturing sectors to ensure the best talent is optimized, retained and business goals are met. She is also a corporate trainer and part-time lecturer at Wilfrid Laurier University and specializes in Interpersonal Business Communications and Organizational Development.
