The CDMP Canadian Study Group is a cross-Canada, expert‑guided program created to help professionals confidently prepare for the Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) certification.
Achieving your CDMP designation is a significant career milestone. It demonstrates your depth of knowledge, practical experience, and commitment to excellence in data management.
In today’s competitive job market, the CDMP is increasingly recognized—by both public and private sector organizations—as a valuable credential that strengthens professional credibility and opens new career opportunities.
Program Duration: 10 Weeks (Starting April 1st, 2026 until June 3rd, 2026)

Registration Fee:
$100 CAD for DAMA Toronto Student/Associate Members
$250 CAD for DAMA Toronto Professional members,
$350 CAD for Non-members

Pay If You Pass(PIYP) Exam option for DAMA Toronto members:
If you are a paid member, you may choose to write the CDMP exam at a Pay If You Pass (PIYP) event scheduled to take place in downtown Toronto in mid-June, tentatively June 20, 2026.
- You write the exam and only pay $300 USD if you pass.
- If you do not pass, you do not pay.
Additional details will be shared mid-April.
This option helps reduce financial barriers while encouraging confident exam participation.
Exam Overview:
The study group prepares participants for the Data Management Fundamentals Exam, the entry point for CDMP certification at the Associate, Practitioner, or Master level.
Exam at a glace:
- 100 multiple choice questions
- 90 minute duration
- 20 additional minute4s for ESL participants
- 14 DMBoK knowledge areas

You need your copy (hardcopy / PDF bundle is recommended) of the DMBoK V2.0. Revised Edition is available for purchase from Technics Publications. We recommend giving yourself 2 hours per week to read the chapter, in addition to the 90-minute review/quiz session.
