This presentation provides an insight into the BI/DW job market today. It will look at the impact the new technologies such as Big Data/Hadoop, open source, and data analytics are having on the opportunities in the market today and is this changing the landscape for the traditional BI/DW roles.
It will also address how you can maximize your chances of landing that next great perm position or challenging new contract. This will cover such topics as social media, job boards, what does an awesome resume look like, and how to best work with staffing agencies; what should you expect from them and what they will be expecting from you. In short, it will talk about how best to market yourself for success!!

Robert Snoyer has spent 27+ years in IT, with the last 14+ years focused on Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing. His entrepreneurial spirit is reflected in his success as a principal in three start-up businesses; two of which have been in the Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse industry. Robert’s involvement at a senior/executive level with numerous companies, ranging from boutique to international, has afforded him the opportunity to be involved with resource management and recruitment.
It was his experiences as a resource manager and a recipient of staffing services that Robert developed his understanding of the staffing industry and his appreciation for the challenges faced by those looking for new opportunities. But most importantly he developed a passion for how to bring the ‘human element’ back into the process and make it a positive, enriching and transparent experience.
Robert is a Managing Partner with Copperstone Connect, leading their staffing practice.
