Agile: Discipline through Social Design

Overview

Management has had it with IT projects that are late, over budget, and don’t deliver requirements. There is a growing demand for discipline in IT. Standards of Practice are coming. One consequence is that we are becoming a profession. Another is that everything we do will be controlled. The Agile approach imposes internal controls, arising from the social organization of work. This presentation puts Agile in the larger context of a changing IT.

Biography

Bob Fabian has a monthly Professional Perspectives column in ComputerWorld Canada and is a frequent public speaker. He brings more than thirty-five years of diverse experience as a consultant, manager, and academic.
