Big Data and a new Architecture – Associative Information Systems

We will review the challenges of Big Data and Business Intelligence, the current tools attempting to manage Big Data, and a new architecture utilizing Associative Information Science to solve these challenges.

Dr. Philip Templeton is a physician radiologist with strong backgrounds in both academic and entrepreneurial medicine. His academic highlights include being Thoracic Radiology Section Chief at Johns Hopkins and University of Maryland Hospitals, Consultant Radiologist at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology, and Radiology Professor and Chairman at the University of Maryland for ten years.

As a pioneer in digital x-ray, PACS and teleradiology he often presented at major conferences sharing the University of Maryland experience in creating the largest electronic imaging enterprise in the US, and hosting and chairing SCAR (now SIIM) in 1998. In 2001, excited by then cutting-edge technology, Dr. Templeton left his chair to found and develop a successful national teleradiology business, servicing 38 US states and ranked #2 in the US. He sold that company and subsequently has been a consultant, chief medical officer and investor/entrepreneur in various fields of medicine, finance and social networking. Again fascinated with cutting-edge new technology, he became the CEO of AtomicDB in 2013.
