Business and Data Analysis for Business Intelligence Systems

There is a critical lack of tools to help analyse the Key Performance Indicators essential for managing the business and perform other essential tasks for the delivery of the Business Intelligence. There is an urgent need for CASE tools to analyse these Key Performance Indicators, define the scope of fact and dimension tables, model the data, and allow data architects to enhance and modify the model for the generation of Data Warehouse and Data Mart schemata.

This presentation is about the business and data analysis for the delivery of Business Intelligence Systems. The Business Intelligence Systems are also known as the Decision Support Systems, and somewhat equivalent to data warehousing (and data marts, too). At the centre of the discussion is the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) concept. The KPI’s are key business measures that are vital for the success of the business activities, from marketing to advertising, to production, to customer satisfaction, etc.
