Data Warehouse, Metadata and the Web

This presentation will provide a brief history and overview of the Royal Bank’s innovative Data Warehouse infrastructure – the storage of metadata for the warehouse and delivery of metadata via the Web. The presentation will explore the reasons why the data warehouse was created and some of the practical problems encountered in delivering metadata for the data warehouse users.

About the Presenter:

Todd Moore has worked for the Royal Bank of Canada for the past 2 years as a Data Management Consultant. He supports the Bank’s Metadata Repository using the Platinum Repository. He has been in the data processing field for 14 years and has  been working with metadata repositories for 6 years; using  the repository as a developer and then supporting the repository directly.

Mark Nieuwland was a key player in the creation of the web site that Bank uses to deliver metadata. He will be available for technical questions.
