E-Government: Enabling Electronic Service Delivery with XML and Common Data Elements
Please join us on Wednesday, January 16th, 2002 for our first session of the new calendar year called E-Government: Enabling Electronic Service Delivery with XML and Common Data Elements.
Dave Wallace, Head Architect, Office of the Corporate Chief Strategist at Management Board Secretariat will introduce “GO e2003”, the Province’s strategy for electronic service delivery. Dave will describe how the Province is using XML as a key technology underpinning its approach to Information Management particularly in the development of standard schemas. Dave will present the Ontario Service Description Markup Language, an XML schema for describing a government service transaction.
A second aspect of the Ontario’s approach to Information Management for E-Government is the use of Common Data Elements. Alana Boltwood, Information Architect at MBS will further develop the theme of E-Government in our second presentation by describing Ontario’s use of Common Data Elements as the basis for standard XML schemas.
So mark your new 2002 calendar for Wednesday, January 16th and plan on joining us at the Ontario Club for an inside look at the technical underpinnings of Ontario’s E-Government strategy.
