EIM – Strategy to Pragmatic Delivery

Information Management (IM) is rapidly being recognized as a business enabler; however, Enterprise Information Management (EIM) strategies are often met by resistance due to the sheer size and complexity.

Often EIM is perceived as ‘boiling the ocean’ or an ‘academic exercise’, resulting in a ‘knee-jerk’ reaction to look for the technology ‘silver bullet’.  How do we move Information Management strategies from conceptual value to operational impact?

With over 20 years of IT and Information Management experience in both Retail and Insurance organizations, Mark O’Gorman is currently the Director of Data Management, Global Technology Office, Manulife Financial.

Mark is responsible for creating and promoting data and information management related visions, strategies, roadmaps, best practices, education, and guidance from an enterprise perspective.

Mark is also co-chairing the EIM SIG with Patrick Sue and past President of IRMAC.
