Larry English Seminars on Information Quality
IRMAC is pleased to announce two 1-day seminars from acclaimed writer and quality guru, Larry English.
In this tutorial Mr. English describes the fundamental principles of information quality. He describes how an organization can improve the quality and value of its information resources. He describes metrics for measuring information quality and management principles for implementing an effective information quality environment. Mr. English describes how organizations have successfully implemented information quality processes to improve the effectiveness of their business and information system processes. In this course, Mr. English describes how to conduct assessments of the different Information Quality (IQ) Characteristics, such as validity, accuracy and timeliness. You learn how to conduct an electronic information quality assessment for conformance to business rules. You also learn how to conduct a physical accuracy assessment. Mr. English describes how organizations can utilize information quality assessments to improve the value of the information across the enterprise, including operational databases, shared data, data warehouse, and Internet/Intranet data. The cost for each course is only $400 for IRMAC members and $500 for non-members and it will be held at The Ontario Club, 5th Floor, Commerce Court South 30 Wellington Street West (Bay and Wellington). In order to offer this seminar at this very reasonable cost, lunch will not be provided, however there are many eateries close by that will provide good food quickly and cheaply.

He also provides consulting and education in information stewardship, strategic information visioning, information technology evaluation, information resource management and data administration, data modeling and facilitation, and value-centric application development methods. Mr. English has developed the Total Information Quality Management (TIQMï¿½) methodology applying Kaizenï¿½ quality principles to information quality management. He chairs Information Quality Conferences around the world. He is a co-founder of the International Association for Information and Data Quality (IAIDQ).
