Kelvin F. Cantafio Chief Information Officer Foster Parents Plan
As the Chief Information Officer at Foster Parents Plan of Canada, Kelvin Cantafio is responsible for the strategic and operational management of the organization’s information systems. With 20 years experience in the Information Technology industry, Mr. Cantafio brings a wealth of technical and business knowledge to the position.
Since joining Foster Parents Plan in 1995, Mr. Cantafio has led the organization’s move to maximize efficiencies through the development and implementation of a technology infrastructure aligned with business requirements. A key element of the system, the data warehouse, won the prestigious RealWare Award by Intelligent Enterprise Magazine and was nominated for a Computerworld Smithsonian Award.
After graduating from the University of Toronto in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science degree, Mr. Cantafio began his career at Sears Canada, focusing on distribution and retail systems. Prior to joining Foster Parents Plan, Mr. Cantafio spent nearly 15 years in Information Technology at Canadian Tire, where he was responsible for introducing techniques and technologies to streamline core business processes.
Mr. Cantafio is a member of the Canadian Information Processing Society (CIPS). He has published articles in CIPS and STORES magazines and presented addresses at the Distribution Executive Conference and The Retail Council of Canada.

Members: Please note that a Corporate membership includes lunch for a maximum of three representatives. The guest fee is $40, payable to IRMAC (Information Resource Management Association of Canada). If your membership is up for renewal you can pay at the registration desk.
